    Hi Kevin,

Really enjoying this series! Keep ‘em coming!

I struggle with vision, foresight. Trying to envision accomplishing something greater and making a difference. I learn best by seeing the bigger picture and how each component makes up the big picture.

I don’t just want to “square a stone”, I wish to “build a cathedral”.

    Thank you,
    Kevin Flask

    Hi Kevin

Have not heard from you since Tim Brocklehursts 1 hour Freedom Class show ;-)

Back to the subject: Very interesting indeed ! I will watch this blog closely from now. And I will recommend others to do the same !

Why is it interesting ? Heck - the only thing that prevent 98% from success is their mind. Creating a manifesto is one way to get through that wall. Good initiative Kevin.

Hope to hear from you more often ;-)

Wow, Kevin, you definitely are ‘a mentor for all the right reasons’! You hit so many nails on the head that my head almost fell off nodding agreement LOL - especially in the ’small thinker pattern’ concept being reinforced by family.

My mother always stated that we were born ‘working class’ so why try to get out of it with, in my case, wanting to write… Unfortunately, I’ve let that lesson shortcircuit my plans for far too long - it’s time to ‘break the pattern’. The idea of small victories certainly appeals - get a taste of victory & never look back.

Cheers, Kevin, can’t wait for the next installment. In the meantime, listing my goals and breaking them down into achievable chunks to get done this month!!!

  4. Kat Bartone says:

In addition to the ’small thinking’ trap, I want to share with you another mindset trap with respect to how we envision ourselves. For example, while education and learning is important, we newbie marketers get caught in a cycle of buying programs, videos, scripts for this or that, and so forth - some of this is necessary, yes, but too often it becomes part of the trap. It’s easily rationalized because we consider it part of our learning experience, but it also keeps us on the wrong side of the table. I need to envision myself on the OTHER side of the table - teacher rather than learner, product creator rather than product consumer, and so forth. It’s a completely different perspective to try to fit into than the one we’re generally much more comfortable with.

I like having a quote to look at each morning to frame and motivate the day.

I love your Henry Ford quote “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off that goal”. That’s my morning quote this month!

Can’t wait for the next installment…

  6. Alyce Mott says:

I’m 62 - started an on-line music publishing business last year - our birthday is June 4th. Now I’m looking at raising capital for the larger software system picture. I’m out of a survival job.

This manifesto could not be coming at a better time. I need cash flow fast but more than that I need to believe in myself and my abilities.

I’ve spent the last few days feeling terribly inadequate from a business skills point of view - at a time when I may very well be sitting at the edge of a huge financial break through.

Thank you Kevin - you’re helping me get my focus back and reminding me of the little things that derail us - lack of confidence, EXCUSES, being overwhelmed by the size of the project instead of breaking it down to bite sized tasks. Learned that lesson once but had forgotten it.

    Action, action, action.

Today I will do all that I can with what I have from where I am! — The Universe, through Mike Dooley, TUT

  7. Greg Hopkins says:

I really like what Kat said about seeing myself on the other side of the table. At this moment, it is difficult to see myself as a product creator. I get stuck with a crazy idea of coming up with the “perfect product”. The trap is this, if I can’t come up with the perfect product idea, I won’t do it or I’m not a product creator. This leads to the “I need to keep consuming in order to learn so I can come up with the perfect product. I don’t know if this makes sense. Being stuck in this loop prevents taking the small steps like picking an idea and starting. Once I get started, I can correct and adjust and tweak as I go along. I have certainly been able to do this in my career. I guess I need to change my title to ‘product creator’ and fake it ’til I make it. Kat, thanks for your insight.

  8. Fendi Salim says:

Kevin, the keyword I caught here is bad habits. I believe most of us dwell and thrive in bad habits - not completing 1 project at a time and always getting caught up with the next BIG idea.

Surely you, like many others, have gone through the same predicament but have managed to overcome it successfully though even successful people fall back into bad habits sometimes.

This is not the 1st time we are hearing this and connecting with it but let’s push ourselves to make it the last.

    Cheers
    Fendi

  9. Darwin Dennis says:

Makes me remember my army days where it was pounded into our heads, “The maximum effective range of an excuse is Zero meters”. That was true then and true now.

  10. KrisBelucci says:

da best. Keep it going! Thank you

  11. Beatrice says:

Hi everyone,Im Beatrice from Melbourne Australia… seems I’m a little behind everyone else here, but what the heck I’m here right! I bought Kevin’s book how to make a hot selling e-book in 8 easy steps… and of course since then have bought a few more, I love the simplicity, in which kevin explains everything…I have gone through all of the installments in one night, and have gone back for more, I have unsubscribed to quite a few newsletter, and have spent quite a lot of money of things that really didn’t make sense…so the answer to the questions that kevin sent me via email are
Do you want to build a home-based business?
Yes I have a homebased business but would like to make it more profitable
Do you just want to make a little extra income?
I want to increase my income
Do you want to supplement a pension?
    neither
Do you want a long-term income that fully replaces your job?
    Yes yes yes
Do you want money right now?
it would help me with my future endeavours
Do you want income security for the future?
    Yes
Do you want to make money online? Or offline?

Online line, as I look after my mom full time..
Do you want the freedom of being your own boss
Yes I have known the freedom, and would like to have it back…
    Regards
    Beatrice
