    Kevin you ROCK!

You make a difference in other’s lives and that is what life is all about.

The degree of self accountability this brings about is just another step toward the success that all of us are looking for. Your program has lain in place are terrific foundation and I cannot wait to see what is next.

However, due to the “Rules of Engagement” presented here, I will not be able to fully participate until I have completed my Product Creation workshop. But then that is the point, right? :-)

  2. I like FINCA, the organization that gives startup money to female entrepreneurs in third world countries.
This concept makes sense - give a percentage after you start making a profit.
My first thought when I read that we should give to worthy causes was that my own children need things so how could I give money to strangers? “Charity begins at home” was the motto at our house when I was growing up.
But I have always wanted to be able to give to the charity of my choice freely and without remorse at having to withhold an equal amount from those at home. So yes I will give to Finca when I make a profit. Does this make sense?

My charity of choice is Hare Krishna Food for Life. They provide vegetarian meals for the hungry, balanced both health-wise and spirit-wise. Hare Krishna cooking is the best on the planet, in my opinion.

While it is a global organization, I prefer to donate locally and give money to the Denver, Colorado chapter, which is run from the temple (but they distribute the food at the city park). There is more information at http://www.ffl.org/

    Installment six is the best.

I always felt kind of lame mentioning that part of my goals would be to give some back. Even in our poorest times, my husband and I have tried to teach out kids the need to give whenever, whatever you can. Sometimes it is just time, or a portion of your groceries to a food bank, or maybe donating good stuff to shelters. It was never big bucks but it was always from the heart.
I actually got more exited about completing my PCL project with this added incentive.
My charity will be a local literacy program and I will continue with Habitat projects.
Kevin, I always knew I liked you, now I just have one more reason.
I’m back working on PCL and am looking forward to the next installment.

Awesome video. Even more awesome is your support for the ‘heart kids’. I’ve pointed to your work as a ‘Charity in Business’ model on my CHD blog here - http://niche2.com/chd/page/18/

And from the comments here already (I’m sure many more will follow along the same lines), it’s obvious your infopreneuring and coaching will spread in ripples, touching lives far and wide, and making a far bigger difference than you’re already doing.

More power to you and Rieko… and all challengers who work towards their own special Success 2011 goal!

    All success

  6. Old Coot says:

I watched this video with some trepidation because I just knew that my experience was going to be at total variance to yours.

For over forty years I have been directly involved in scenarios wherein I have been instrumental in saving the lives of over 70 people. Each person needed radical surgery that would make a massive change in their personal lifestyle and was, therefor, something to be rejected, whatever the cost. The work was voluntary and started out by accident because my first ‘case’ was my neighbour who knew about my own surgery.

Each ‘case’ involved several months of intimate contact, expense and was a massive drain on my own emotional reserves - so much so that I had to give up this work a couple of years ago - I was getting into financial straits and was finding the emotional stress far too debilitating.

I have also been involved in less strenuous activities relating to health matters which were serious but not necessarily life threatening.

My activities had nothing to do with Karma except that it was my belief that I should do what I did because I was able to.

As my wives and children died, I noticed that I could only rely on immediate family for support, and not always then and, now that I am staring destitution in the face (current cash assets €7.30 - rent arrears €3,600 and living on food donated by neighbours) I find that people no longer wish to know me unless there is something I can do for them. Not only that, I am discovering that a money making product is being delayed because I simply do not have the marketing knowledge or muscle to get it moving.

    Still, nil iligitimum carborundum!

Kevin Riley Inc, on a white horse, to the rescue!!

  7. Diana Kipka says:

This karma I can deal with - giving back to ‘the community’ from that which you have made from ‘the community’.

I have in the past contributed to Dr. Mani’s endeavors as well as the wee children in Nepal through the IM Dreamteam giveaway so I have no problem signing up for that again. I also want to find the best charity to help build young minds as well as bodies ie the ’school in a box’ idea. Another one is the ‘buy a goat’ to better a third world family/village finances so the children don’t get sold off into slavery (usually brothels and other horrors). I will research all these but any links you and members of team can forward would be appreciated.

Putting up pictures of such lovely children as your video showed would certainly keep the focus of helping others daily upon our mindset.

Cheers Kevin, for a lovely idea…

    Diana

  8. Cindy Hohe says:

I’m thrilled to see the concept of sharing/giving included in our success plans!

My husband and I have always been active in our community…even if we don’t have much money, we still make a point to share our time and efforts and we teach our children the same values.

One organization that’s very dear to our hearts is the Huntington County Humane Shelter. I’ve never met a more dedicated group of people. Animal rescue and rehabilitation is often one of the most difficult tasks to deal with - mentally, emotionally, physically and financially.

I very much hope to make a difference by easing some of the financial burden and really helping them ramp up their humane education program.

So many neat things to be a part of! It makes our own success that much sweeter when we know it will also mean success for a worthy cause.

    Thanks, Kevin!

    Cindy

  9. Darwin Dennis says:

I am a big fan of Kharma. I began a project for fun and learning which is a website that provides no cost information about the province i live in here in Thailand.

Over the time I have had this site I have managed to land on page 1 google search results page for the main kw with my blog and several other secondard kw’s.

The sites have been visited by many people from around the world which is exciting. Many of these ask for more info or assistance and I have done what I can. Often they will tell me they will contact when arrive and buy me a beer or dinner to say thanks. The largest percentage are never heard from again. This can be disheartening.

Some do as they say and it’s nice to meet and talk to them. But in the course of this people have talked to others and out of the blue I get offers to stay in a local resort or hotel for free or a free meal from a merchant while they tell me about their service.
Recently also I was contacted by an apartment owner who asked how he could advertise or get featured on my site. So even though the people I helped vanished other good things came my way from a different source. Thus I fully believe in the power of kharma.

Great stuff, and so many interesting stories.

  11. Claire Elliott says:

Very logical and informative video again Kevin, thank you. I just wish this series had been available to me when I first discovered internet marketing and started out on my quest to make a living online. I am convinced that I would be light years ahead of where I am now! (Preferably before I had spent massive amounts of money learning things which I now know are virtually irrelevant. ) I also didn’t apply a lot of the information in a timely manner because I felt that I didn’t have all the pieces of the puzzle so the information therefore became useless to me apart from the learning curve of course. It has been a very expensive and extensive education so far lol. I am curious to know why it’s called Success Manifesto 2011 though? Please don’t tell me it’s going to take me 2 years to create a really decent income. Anyway, the information is fantastic and you explain everything clearly and without waffle so thanks again and keep it coming.
